[Update] Download Official Marshmallow 6.0 for Moto G 2nd gen

In over previous post We discussed on about how to install official android marshmallow update on Moto G 2nd gen 2014 XT1069 [TITAN].One of the XDA dev srinuchry, successfully in porting XT069 marshmallow rom in Moto G2 XT1068.So now we can update our Moto G 2nd gen XT1068 to official marshmallow 6.0.

Follow below step by step guide below on how to update moto g 2nd gen XT1068 to official marshmallow 6.0[TITAN].If your like to install CM13 rom in your device then your can follow this link for installing CM13 rom in Moto G 2nd gen.

Tried & Tested On
XT1063 : Global Single SIM, GSM

XT1064 : US/Canada Single SIM, GSM

XT1068 : Global Dual SIM, GSM

XT1069 : Brazil Dual SIM, GSM+DTV


#Requirements


1.Unlocked Bootloader : Status Code 3 (Check in AP Fastboot Mode)

2.Bootloader Version : 4882 or higher (Check in AP Fastboot Mode)


3.TWRP Version : 2.8.6.0 (Check in TWRP Recovery)

4.If you dont have it follow these below methods, only then proceed further.

 


#How to Install the official Marshmallow 6.0 in Moto G 2nd Gen 2014 XT1068


1.Go in TWRP recovery and create a backup of your current rom.

2.Now Download the Android Marshmallow 6.0 TWRP backup file (615MB) zip from link given in the download section.
 

3.Extract the contents of the zip. You will see "marshmallow_titan" folder, open it & you will see "2015-11-22--20-17-22_MPB24.65-10" folder.

4.Using ES File Manager navigate to your TWRP folder--> BACKUPS folder.


5. Inside Backup folder there should be a folder having your "Serial Number" as its name.

6.Open that "Serial Number" folder & copy the extracted "2015-11-22--20-17-22_MPB24.65-10" folder in this "Serial Number" folder.

Finally it should look like this : Internal Storage or External SD Card > TWRP > BACKUPS > *Serial Number* Folder > 2015-11-22--20-17-22_MPB24.65-10

7.Go in TWRP recovery > Wipe > Factory Reset > Go Back

8.Now restore this backup from your TWRP recovery through restore Tab in it.

9.After restoring going back to Main Menu of TWRP > Reboot > System. It will prompt to install "SuperSU" > Select "Do Not Install"

10.First will take a long time, around 15-20 mins.
