How to flash Samsung devices using Repair Fimware (firmware with many files)

I've been receiving lots of messages from people asking how to use samsung 4 files repair firmware or how to flash some old samsung smart phones which have multiple files inside the firmware folder. For those who don't know, sometimes flashing a samsung device using the regular single tar.md5 file don't work in such cases, you will need to use repair firmware to flash the device.

After downloading and extracting a repair firmware, you will notice that there are either 3 or more archive files found inside.
This names of this archive files (.tar or .tar.md5) will have the following string of words BOOT, MODEM, PHONE, CSC and sometimes a .PIT file is found inside too.

So now for you to flash your device with this kind of firmware,

Put your device into download mode using samsung 300k tool or pressing volume down + home + power button for about 3 secs then volume up button when you see the warning sign.

Launch odin
- Connect samsung device to PC with usb cord
- Odin will detect device and show Added! under message tab.

Now to select the files accordingly.
- Click PIT button in odin and select PIT file (that's if there is a PIT file inside the extracted folder) after selecting PIT file make sure you click Repartition.

- Click BOOTLOADER and select the file with BOOT inside the firmware folder
- Click on PHONE button and select file with MODEM or PHONE
- Click on CSC button and select file with CSC
- Click on PDA and select the last file with none of the names above.

- Now click Start

Wait for the flashing process to complete
When you see PASS! in green, the process is complete.

Wait for samsung device to reboot
